Pyramiden is a town in the Arctic Ocean region. The city is located in the Svalbard archipelago and into the territory of Norway. Pyramiden dubbed as a ghost town at the end of earth which means the city of the dead at the end of the earth. Pyramiden location is very close to the polar region. The distance is only 130 kilometers. The city can be reached through the capital of Svalbard, Longyearbyen. Svalbard own pulse of the economy relies on coal pertambanganan industry, fisheries and trapper. Entering the 21st century, the tourism industry, education, advanced research, as well as advanced enterprise sort of satellite relay station started growing rapidly.

Where the origin of the name Pyramiden? It turned out that the name originated from a mountain that has a shape like a pyramid. But that's not the main attraction of this city. 1910 Pyramiden began to have residents who came from Sweden. In 1927 the area was purchased by the Soviet Union Pyramiden. Pyramiden not just a city. Apparently here there are abundant coal reserves. Then the Soviets build a coal mine there. In 1998 the mine ceased operations there began and then abandoned its inhabitants. Former miners grave here is unique.
