verse 176
Allah says in Surah Al A'raf 176:
وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَرَفَعْنَاهُ
بِهَا وَلَكِنَّهُ أَخْلَدَ إِلَى الأَرْضِ وَاتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ فَمَثَلُهُ
كَمَثَلِ الْكَلْبِ إِن تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْهِ يَلْهَثْ أَوْ تَتْرُكْهُ يَلْهَث
ذَّلِكَ مَثَلُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا فَاقْصُصِ الْقَصَصَ
لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
"And if We willed, We verily raise (degrees) it with the verses, but
he tends to the world and indulge their lusts are low, then the parable like a

tongue (also) . Such is the parable of those who reject Our Signs. Then tell
(them) the stories that they think. "
Dr Muhammad Sayyid Thonthowi when interpreting this verse says: "The likeness of those who were given the revelations of Allah and do not take faidah at all of the content of the lessons and instructions (word meaning insalakho minha), so the same to him given verse or not, he's like a dog, if tied stuck out his tongue and if left too stuck out his tongue. Because dogs are always sticking her tongue, because the tongue is stuck temperament.
Likewise, people who like to collect the world, turning away from the verses after it was delivered to him, if you advise him that he did not receive advice (still love the world) and if you let him keep on loving the world. (Tafsir Al Wasith)
